Alarm query

My civic is off the road at the minute and I need to transport it to my secure garage. To complicate matters (due to a dispute about a gearbox that nearly caused an accident) the dealer has the keys. Meaning I can't turn the alarm off.

So my question is can I put it on a transporter without it going off?
Due to the fact it's been sitting doing nothing for 2 months will te battery be flat leaving the alarm inert anyway?

Any help would be much appreciated

Have a look at the dash, is the little red alarm light flashing?

If so, I'd guess they batteries still got enough juice for the alarm to go off.

Can you not just get the keys off the dealer?

Surely you'll still need to get in the car to get it on a transporter?

Unfortunately taking the keys back will cause more issues. Otherwise I wouldn't have to do any of this. I'm hoping to get it lifted onto the transporter. Just if the alarm goes off I'm stuffed!!!

Dealer won't give you the keys due to a dispute ? ...

That's illegal (theft) - the keys are your property ! - report a theft to the Police - they will most likely want to do nothing, but stand your ground ...

If there is a dispute over liability \ costs of a repair or rectification, that's a matter for the Civil courts - taking your keys (or the car itself) because a Civil dispute exists, is a Criminal matter ...

I don't want to go into detail, but the car is currently being rejected so the dealer has been given the keys/documents. I couldn't drive the car from my home due to the gearbox being utterly useless and almost causing an accident last time I was in it. As a resonsible invidual I chose not to drive the car to the dealers on the day of rejection but offered them the chance to come and take it away. Sadly they are dragging this on, solicitors are involved and the car is still there.

Due to the road tax running out in june, I'm looking into moving the car to a more secure place off the road so I can declare a SORN until this matter is concluded.
