Disabling the "Boot open" message

Hi guys,

I need to disable the Boot Open message that pops up on the screen if the boot left open whilst the car is moving.

Basically i need to pick up an over sized wardrobe, its longer than my boot space so the tailgate will need to be open and i don't want that message alerting me every 10seconds over a 35mile trip (it'll drive me crazy)

Any ideas?

Cheers

Thanks for the fast reply.

So if the tailgate makes contact with the lock and its left ajar, the warning message will appear and beep.

If the tailgate is wide open and has not made contact with the lock it should not alert at all?
cheers,
