EX Parking sensor question

Calling all owners with Honda factory fit sensors.

If you start your car up in reverse (with clutch depressed) do you get an immediate continuous tone from your parking sensors even though nothing is behind the car ?

You should always get a burst of 'tone' as soon as you go into reverse - so, if you start the engine with reverse selected, that should trigger it ...

The question is, who starts their car when it is in gear ? - reverse or otherwise ! ...

Sorry Derek, I meant a continuous tone as in BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP.... ...........................

But if you select neutral and start the car, then put it in Reverse you get a BEEP for less than 1 sec and then start to hear it get progressively shorter spaced on reversing as you get nearer to an object.

Nope. It should be just the same as when selecting reverse.

But if you are in a driveway or garage, it might well trigger. I visit a relative's drive with plants on one side, and the beepers go off the whole length as I reverse out.
