How Do I open the Sat Nav DVD tray?

Hi - Complete newbie so apologies if this is common knowledge..

I've just bought a 2008 Civic EX with Sat Nav. First thing I noticed about the Sat nav was how out of date the maps were. I have been trying to open the DVD player in the glove compartment. The manual implies I just need to push the orange button but this doesn't seem to do anything.

Am I missing something? Is there a "knack" to it?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

As I recall, there's a button to press and a front flap to open ...

+1

The orange backlit button Yellowstreak mentioned should open it. I have to press mine fairly hard though.

Should the the DVD loader slot and an eject button beneath the flap.

Thanks for the quick response. I have tried pushing this orange button but nothing seems to happen. Should it open on its own or is the orange button like a catch and I have manually pull it open. I don't want to go in too heavy handed and break something!

The flap should be spring loaded and should open on it's own. Like a said, I have to press mine quite firmly.

I'll have a closer look tomorrow.

Now you can upgrade to the 2011 version (3.52) - about €170 from NavTech (Dealer will undoubtedly charge more) - it's now a 2-disc set ...
