Thumbs down Rear Camera Fogging

I've picked up my new car before the weekend with a Rear View Camera to help with reversing.

However, the typical Bank Holiday weather exposed a rather critical problem with this. In the rain the camera was completely fogged up and unusable.

Has anyone else found this, is there anything their dealer can do to sort it out ?

i don't have any problems with mine when it rains as long as i remember to wipe it with my thumb every few days. Even after a long run in the wet i can still see when i need to reverse.

Would applying some Rain-X on the lens help?

If wiping doesn't work it may have a dodgy seal, i.e letting water in, which wouldn't be good.

It gets blurry with rain (especially at night), but Rain-Ex should sort it.

washing up liquid or spit would also do the job.. (coming from steamed up safety specs) or the slightly more eligant approach would probably rainx/rainaway stuff lol
