Sat nav

Hi there I have a quick question... Say if I buy a OE sat-nav from the breakers yard... Am I able to fit it to my civic ES model? It has a standard head unit at the moment and I would like to have a sat nav in my car.... And has anyone done it and is it easy to fit?

Someone talked about doig it. Not sure if they went through with it or not.

It's a very big job and won't be cheap either.

You'll need the HU, the screen, the DVD unit, the dashboard, GPS antenna, assorted wiring looms. Possibly other stuff as well but that's all I can think of atm.

It is possible (in theory), but VERY expensive as a lot of parts need to be changed.

I think someone did do it though.

Yes I have done it, if you can get all the gear at the right price like I did, then it shouldn't be a problem.
