I think this is the best flip key shell I've seen

Honda 2 Button Key Case New Flip Style Hot Item !!!! | eBay

I bought one of these myself for 11 and had it cut locally for 7, and resoldered the component inside after, works a treat.

Buy one of the above get it cut and I'll sort the electrics if you like OR I know Gray52 used to do it so you could try him.

Hi, so does this mean the honda key can be cut from a local locksmith rather than a dealer, If so I would like this done as I require a spare key, only have the one at the moment. (Honda charges 150 standard key+coding 50)

What does the 'soldering' involve?
Perhaps a 'how to' with some detail photos would be a good idea.

Anybody still do this?
I got a spare key, needs reprogramming then I am looking to swap the internals over, get a feeling my soldering iron is probably too big (nib wise) to touch any of these intricate parts!!!
