Real keyless entry with remote start

Just saw this on youtube, I wonder if we can replace our start button with this one.


They supply 2 systems, the ST 960 wich has the following features:

* 100% made in korea quality
* Auto window roll up and down using AUX features no modules required at all
* Super responsive LCD dispaly two-way smaty key fob
* Auto sunroof open and close
* Auto convertable roof top open and close using smart remote fob.
* Remote engine start
* Proximity lock / unlock control
* Arms and locks when you walk away from the car.
* Unlocks automatically when you are in proximity with in the vihicle.
* Proximity range: 2-3 meters;
* 100% keyless super slim (4mm) push start button
* ST800 has no relays at all ST960 is only system with out any
extra modules.
* No starter disable relay no extra moduels needed all built in super easy
to install.
* World first super slim smart remote fob 6mm thick smaller then your
business card.
* Shock sensor
* Parking lights illuminates when the door is unlocked and opened.
* Digital siren( world first)
* Anti-hijack (Programmable anti gear shift)
* Central Locking Automation (Brake Driven / Ignition safety door lock) ;
* Emergency Override;
* Escort feature
* Digital key pad entry system (PIR pyroelectric infrared ray) world's first

Well they have this system in Asia for more then 3 years now, I also read alot of positive comments on other car sites.

I would imagine it's entirely possible to install that system but it would require a lot of work and....

I saw on a nissan forum it even has a turbo timer function, pretty handy for 2.2 diesel owners.

It's pretty hard yes but a car alarm or sound installer can do it in half a day.

Remote start is a dodgy proposition in a manual unless you have an electrical way of checking that it's in neutral. Cold morning, you press the remote start button to warm it up and watch your car shunt into the next car or nearest wall.

Not a problem with autos as they're safe to start when left in park. In the UK though you're not allowed to leave your engine running when the car is unattended anyway.

In colder climates you get auxillary heaters that can usually either be remote-started or put on timer. A mate had an older BMW imported from Germany that had one - it drew fuel from the tank to burn and provide heat, which it put into the car's own systems. He set it for 15 mins before he'd leave in the mornings, would get in to a nice warm cabin, an engine that was already up to temp, and no ice on the screen or windows because the cabin warmth had melted it. Avoids any legal issues too because the engine is stopped while the aux heater is working.
