Android Auto Screen Blanking

So I have a OnePlus 3T phone connected via USB to my Civic ; I have Android Auto installed on it

And it works !

BUT !!! Regularly the screen goes blank but the voice keeps coming (when using Waze for instance); only way to solve is to disconnect the phone and connect it again with the risk of the screen blanking out again

(with 'screen' I here mean the screen of the Civic not the one from my phone)

Any ideas on what the issue is ? and/or how to solve ?

Found this video of a guy with a CR-V having the same issue AND a possible solution (notice that the guy of the video is making a mess of his video )

I will try his solution next time

Empty the android auto cache in your phone and then restart it, worked for me and has been ok since.
