How to use a 3.5mm jack

Hi All

I have a 3.5mm jack male in my sunglasses compartment.
I follow it back to 2 photos in a little silver box.
From my understanding I believe this is a honda add on. Very expensive for what it is (in comparison to say an xcarlink)

I connect the jack in the top of my iPhone, and play a video with audio. iPhone is not muted and sound in at max

This is the bit I have trouble with, where do I access this jack from?

I press Audio - and my radio screen shows on FM1.
I then press CD/Aux and nothing happens?

On mine you have to press aux twice to scroll between usb and aux input (says on i-mid which input is been used) Your stereo system might be different to mine if its higher spec.

Cheers JC - I tried it.
Unfortunately nothing happens on mine, so I guess a wire must have come out or something?

Does anyone have any instructions for the Honda gadget, so I can check the install?

Well its all sorted now, I plugged in the wrong part of the Y Cable splitter.

So would I be right in saying if I wanted another one, lets say the xcarlink or a cdchanger (not that I do want a cd changer) - could I use another y-splitter cable. Is there a limit to these?

Cheers Chris
