Speaker in headlining

Hi

Hoovering out me car earlier and looked up to find a small speaker above the middle rear passenger seat. Does not appear to be doing anything. Anyone know what this is for? Car is 2014 EX Plus 1.6D.

Thanks-Mark

It's one of the speakers for active noise cancelling.

Correct!
The mic captures the sound inside the car and the noise canceling comes thru theaudio system speakers. If you change the head unit you remove the noise cancelling system. I think this only exists on the diesel honda cars.

Never noticed this, will have a look when I leave work.

Does this turn off when the radio is turned off? Would be interesting to hear how effective it is.

For what I know it's not possible to interfere with the system. You can switch the radio off but it continues doing the noise cancellation stuff...
