Shark-Fin Aerial on 2012 vehicle - is it DAB compatible?

Hi everyone. First time here. It's looking likely I'll be buying a 2012 Civic 1.8 ES.

It comes with the standard FM/AM radio without DAB. I'm looking to put a genuine Honda DAB alternative in its place.

The OEM radio has 4 sockets on the back, but I notice the DAB version has 5. Will my Civic have the wiring for the shark-fin antenna for it to work directly for the DAB model?

I am thinking of buying one off eBay, but it doesn't have a code. Would that also be a problem or can I get the code from Honda or elsewhere?

Many thanks

No

The 2012 fin is smaller and doesn't contain the DAB bits.

There is a thread here somewhere about the 600 cost of upgrading it.

Plus there is an extra control box between the antenna and the rear of the radio.

I find reception is quite patchy particularly on Radio 4 FM, although it is usually good on Long Wave. but I would not spend money on Dab which in itself is not particularly good well off the beaten track.
