breaking through bulkhead/firewall on driver side

Is there a location on the drivers side that i can poke some wires through a rubber grommet between engine and interior? High or low is fine, and while i've had a good look today around drivers footwell i simply cant feel anywhere suitable. I've even had half the dash apart trying to find somewhere but no luck there; too much dash in the way.
I haven tried taking the scuttle plastics out yet, maybe a grommet for wiper electrics i can use?

Short of extending wiring or drilling the car body, having an existing location would save a ton of hassle so any ideas welcome..
