Larger throttle body with catless downpipe

Guys,

Been offered to have my 1.5 sport in for a trial of testing the fittment of a larger throttle body and a catless downpipe. They say if these parts fitted and work then i can have them free of charge which is great however, what kind of gains could i recieve from these upgrades and is there anything i need to be aware if these do sucessfully bolt on?

This is a first for me and have never had upgrades on my car before especially test trial developed ones!

Any info or opinions would be gratefully appreciated

Cheers,

I think if you will fit a larger throttle body you also need a larger MAF housing otherwise it will not have much impact.
Also if you fit one (or both) of them you will need a remap afterwards for the best results.

Yes i agree with you on the larger MAF housing this is something i would of looked into next for e.g the PRL cobra comes with larger MAF and housing so that would come next.

As for the remap, i am currently running a tuning chip module and the supplier say that once these parts are fitted he will then write me a new map to support these additions so everything will run smoothly 🙂 or i go down the hondata or ktuner route.
