1.5 petrol service remider system.

Had my car serviced on 22nd of february. As i left the garage i check the system and it indicated 365 day to next service. Great

Today the system saying 120 day untill next service!

It should say 245 days. Thats a big difference as it means the service reminder is dropping at a rate of 3 days per day of driving. Should i be worried or has anyone else experienced this.

Going by its current rate it will be due a service around end of june.

Im not a high miler. Only done 4700klm february service.

I've had the same.
Mine has stuck at 120 days for the last month, but have noticed on some days has actually increased to 130 days before reverting back to 120 days.

120 days from now for me, the car will 6 months old.

Yes that's normal. It's 1 year or, depending on the setup, 16 or 20k km between services. As you've done 5k in 2 months it's estimating another 10k in the next 4 months bringing you to the 16k mark.

Mine does the same, and is set up at 16k or 1 year between services. Given the fuel dilution question, I'd rather the earlier schedule anyway. I'm coming up to my second service soon, nearly at 32k km.

Hmm, mine does not write the service reminder in days, but in distance. Where does it write 120 days?
Mine is 1.5 month old, 2200km in it, and it says only: Oil: 10.500km
That will be its first service.

Have you experienced the dilution in this ~32k km period yourself?

Never saw a change in oil level. I did smell petrol once on the dipstick, it was a pretty cold week and had a few short trips. Most of my driving is long distance though, so not the best person to comment on fuel dilution.

There's 2 places for the maintenence minder. On the connect system under settings>vehicle> maintenence. Also under the spanner icon in the driver information system. For me both give me the maintenence in days. I guess different countries have different setups?

I noticed (at least for my car) that there are two possible services (named as "A" and "B") and each has its own counters:
1. Service A, is for oil/filter change only. It shows remaining time in days, but it is not linear. My guessing is that it combines multiple factors to calculate your next service - how many kilometers you drove, how many days passed since the last service, how long the engine was running (eg. engine hours) and probably more. Just a couple of weeks ago, my car's counter dropped from 11 days to 5 just within one day (probably because I had 4-5 short drives that day, mostly with a non-fully heated engine)
2. Service B, is for general car maintenance. This counter is always counting 365 days from the last service of the same type.

The exact service type (A or B letter) appears closer to the actual service, when the counter almost runs out. Just an example - I had my oil changed just yesterday (with a counter showing -6 days when I arrived), and it now shows that my next service (type B, I suppose - the letter is not yet displayed) is within ~120 days.

My reminder has just come on after only 6000 miles (6 months). I assume this will be just be for oil / filter change although ive never had to change so early on previous cars.

i have my 1.5 since 3rd April and its saying service due in 200 days. It had dropped to 180 when i did allot of driving last week but is climbing back up again. After just 1 week of ownership it dropped from 365 days to 230, then dropped to 210, back to 220, and jumping around allot depending on my long versus short drives.

There is 3300kms on the clock right now!

I'm getting a honda two year service plan for free due to small mark on the drivers door when I bought it, at one point I thought I'd have that used up in less than 1 year.
