Question ramair vs bonnet scoop - FN2

Hi again..

Well i cant decide what to do. I am almost positive that i will get a Gruppe M ram air system for my FN2. And i would like a carbon bonnet to compliment it. I found this bonnet ..

Now wil that compliment the ram air system or make it worse.. This is theory but can the air comming in from the top somehov prevent the airflow from the bottome side of the bonnet.. What are youre thoughts?

Other posibility is a CAI system witht he same bonnet.. Tho i am not sure that would be as effective as the ram air system..

Share youre thoughts on the subject.. thanks..

Yeah sure, thoughts enough, but no facts.
- is the manufacturer of this hood certain that there's enough pressure on this point of the hood to make it serve as intake?
- i hope there's no underpressure on this point. If there's underpressure, you can use it as extra cooling of the engine bay.
- I think (but not sure) that you will find more overpressure for the intake in front of the car.
- The surface between the window and the hood: there you will find overpressure (is used as airintake for ventilation and airco). But a bit further on the hood there's a tendence to change to underpressure.
- Renault Clio 1.8 16V (1993..) used a hole in the bonnet as cooling! Hot air from engine bay simply rose up because of underpressure on the hood
- Peugeot 306 1.9 turbo diesel (1997) used also underpressure on the hood for intercooler cooling.
- Civic has a good aerodynamic shape: no big overpressure will build up.
But no hard facts, this is guessing.
