auxillary belt question

Hi there,

Since I've got over 100,000km in 4 and half years it was time to re-check whole engine and make sure everything is good.

I've got a problem with my official Honda reseller/service (country: SERBIA) and it's about auxillary belt (if I named it correctly - sorry for english ). Belt that drives alternator, A/C, Power Steering etc. (img attached).

The belt on my car, the original one, is 1860 mm long, and new one which reseller ordered at first is was 2061 mm long !? They ordered another one and the it was the same.

Can someone provide me any contact to Honda official services in England so I could contact them and ask for possible solution?

My official service isn't responding to my emails and phone calls almost 2 weeks... and I'm .... let say "stuck", with old belt and new km arriving on my way

Engine: PETROL - 1.8L ( Sport )
Model: Civic HB 5door

I hope you understand what I need :0

If any other information is needed, I'll provide.

Thank everybody for help

I'm not 100% sure, but I think they increased the length because the belt has now been altered to take a different route in the engine, so needs to be longer.

You should be able to use the longer belt on yours, but it won't be a straight swap, the belts will be fitting slightly different to take a different route.

(may be completely wrong)

Hm, it makes some sense... but there was no way to make it work. It was always loose when we tried to put it. The pictures from sm and belt package were the same.

Basically yes.

As that belt only fits in the re-routed way it would take someone special to get it wrong especially since the diagram is included.

Also them didn't know about the re-route belt either god help me.. they asked if I could get the part number off my old belt and part number off my alternator .. erm why.? Because some belts are different jesus what am I dealing with ... Back street garage or HONDA pros?

They sound quite special don't they!

The old shorter belt is P/N: 31110-RWK-003

It could be they have one sitting on the shelf gathering dust for years and hoping to sell it to you?

If they tried to order the old belt the system should tell them it has been superseded by 04301-RNA-306

Well the old belt will only fit the old way as it is shorter, heres hoping they do indeed get the longer belt and route it the updated way!

Nothing wrong with the current Micra BTW, much better than its Clio cousin.
