import inspection form

Morning,
Just been emailed an inspection form & it's all I can understand the km & that it's a 4.5 grade car, but does the A1 at the front end & windscreen mean it's been in a minor accident, the rest I have no idea

4.5 is one of the best grades.
If it had accident damage it would be "R" grade.
A1 is a small mark/stone chip.
Done 57k miles.
"B" grade interior .
The car should be inspected in Japan before any bids are placed.

Yeah torque gt, good price as well (different to asking price) my dilemma is go ahead with this 1 or take a 2-3mth break saving then top up the extra with a loan & import a low mileage face lift (needs to last me).

Don't suppose you know the process I had it all on email but lost it,
I know you pay a small amount for searching and bidding (if through an auction)
Then a deposit (can't remember the %)
Then you pay the remainder on collection, i think that was it

Have you considered a DC5 Teg. Will almost be as quick as the FD2. Then again it's getting abit old now and doesn't have creature comforts like CC etc.

I have & I see 1 everyday & it's stunning but the 4drs on the fd would suit me better also I see the fd as a bit of investment (cant see it losing masses of value in 5yrs)

When I imported my car with Torque GT last year it went in this order-
500 deposit to start looking and bid at auction (deposit comes off the final payment).
When I had the winning bid I paid for the car in Japan.
The car was then shipped to the UK.
Car is off loaded at Southampton docks.
At this point you pay shipping costs/import tax.
The car is then transported to Torque GT in Devon for prep/sva and mot test/dvla paperwork.
Collect a few weeks later and pay for prep work .
You need to check with Mike how it will work for you and to see if the process has changed.
