Thumbs up 1.0L CVT from Belgium - Lunar Silver with black leather interior

Here is my humble 1.0L
It replaces a more potent 2.2 VTec 5th Gen. Prelude, but the Civic rides smoother and is more luxurious for my needs at the moment.

Took delivery on 24th of last month.
- Lunar Silver
- Leather interior
- OEM console ambient lights
- OEM sedan tray
- CVT
- Hilox LED low beams
- full LED 8000K interior lights
- BlackVue DR900s 2CH dashcam set up

Coming update:
- brighter high and low beam LED bulbs from AuxBeam coming in...
- fake carbon fiber trim around the gearlever and on the steering wheel also coming in...
- black vinyl on the rear light housing + dark smoke on the white section, appointment to be made
- rubber door mat mats just ordered

Possible long term updates:
- lowering the suspension (strict rules in Belgium unfortunatelly)
- chiptuning, being its an 1.0L Turbo, the possibilities are also limited, mostly from stock 126hp -> 150hp. But better fel economy.
- front lip, sideskirts, rear lip

Nice CTR Across the road!

Looks nice so far! A nice idea for a quick improvement would be some stick on felt for the inside of the glovebox, for the soft touch like the 9G.

Slight derailment; but if it's anything like Germany, I wouldn't bother!

Have a look at that; And we thought the fascists had lost!

yeah its a nice machine, only his or hers was dirty as ****!

And, like me, they ****ed up at least one of their front rims on the curbs.

Not the way to threat your CTR that way

regulations in what matter?

MOT for lowering?
Chiptuning?

Lowering requires specialist documents that have to be shown upon MOT inspection.
MOT inspection is only after 4 years with a new car and than every year.
So in theory, I can do whatever I like for the first 4 years owning a new car, basically...

That said, cars are limited to be lowered at 11cm, but I've read that inspection services let the cars ride over a piece of trim thats 9cm high, if it doesnt touch it, its okay, so there is more or less 2cm of tolerance.

Chiptuning is not forbidden as such, thats why many chiptuners are active, but you have the responsibility as an owner to make the tuning legal:
- go to your insurance
- get approval from the manufacturer

Nobody does those things, and I dont think manufacturers will agree, and also, how the hell does a owner get such an approval?
Those are the strict rules and guidelines about chiptuning a car.
In reality nobody knows your car is tuned, even the dealers (if you can believe the tuners) and only in case of a serious accident that involves investigation, one would know that car is more powerfull than on paper, and than you are basically ****ed.

But many take the "risk" of chiptuning here.

Sorry, I don't. And I can't seem to find one on the internet also.
It's basically the same except that it's lined with felt.

Might I add...if the car is still below 100.000km before the first MOT and if you pass, then you can come back after 2 years. Same rules for the 6th year (so 4 years, 6 years, 8 years and after that every year).

Every form of engine tuning which gives extra power is forbidden because the current power doesn't compare with what's on the cars papers. So basically it's a grey zone, tuning is allowed as long as you don't take your car on the road or if you get approval of the manufacturer.

I believe those are the (standard leather) seats of the Prestige. Yours are accessory leather seats. Probably that's where the difference is.

Indeed... marketing and option policy of the Japanese brands are a bit awkward in Europe... I wonder when they'll get the point

Honda needs an Carlos Ghosn visionary at the top!

Look how that dude single handedly revived the Skyline GT-R name and the Nissan brand as well.

Cool

Some daylight pictures with a good view of the mods I added.
Small and subtile, but they change the look of the car substantially imo.
Red badges front and rear, black wrapped rear light housing, oem sideskirts.

Red center caps are already installed on the summer wheels and are on the car now, but I haven't taken any pictures yet...waiting until the chrome window trim is wrapped in black on Friday...

And Bayson R front lip is on its way as well

After thats installed, it'll be the last exterior mod.
(possibly a Eibach pro kit somewhere down the road)

Before leaving a parking lot yesterday I noticed this view and I had to record it

The Civic must have one of the most distinctive fronts of any "normal" car, no?
Can't wait how it looks after that front lip is installed.
