Honda have already mentioned it will be "affordable"

and the bay has been deliberately engineered to accept the K20 engine as far as i know

Honda are still saying that the CR-Z will be a production car, only a Hybrid and it will be on sale end of 2009 start of 2010.

This is what they had said before I got my CTR and this will be my next car if it looks like the concept, but I think i'll wait till they've made a few before I decide to take the plung. I don't want a faulty one

Garage
only 3 of those pics are the CR-Z which will be coming as a hybrid and possibly a 'normal' car but not for a long time yet.

other than the ginger civic, the other shots are of the concept open top car which again has only the lightest rumours of production and certainly not in the near future.

Neemstar - the term 'affordable' is a very loose one. it could mean affordable to Mr/Mrs Beckham or to you and me. And the difference between you and me could be a fair bit too.

According to this article, the hybrid CR-Z will serve as the successor of the CR-X and will become commercially available in Europe first, around the end of the decade.

The engineering for the car is being held out in Germany. Interestingly enough, Honda is prepared to think of a gasoline version of the car if there's demand for it.

It is said that CR-Z will be priced around 25,000, "with a high-end model cresting 28,000".
