First clean of the Year

Spent 4 hours cleaning the car this afternoon, I was really surprised by the before and after photos.

I used meguires wash gel and tyre shine, followed by a rinse, quick clay, menzerna polish to remove some scratches, then glazed with poorboys blackhole glaze and finished with Poorboys limited ed paste wax then an extra coat of colonite on the bonnet.

After

I've seen a few posts today with people cleaning their cars - up north as well which is usually colder that down here on the south coast but it's MUCH too cold here for car cleaning even tho mine needs it!!

So, well done you, and your civic looks very smart.

PS anyone want to clean mine??

cleaned mine the other day, the wheels were absolutely filthy with brake dust,

bought some of halfords own brand alloy wheel cleaner for £12, had a poster by it sayin it won awards in a car mag so thought i'd give it a try, wow, it's brilliants stuff, just apply with the brush thats included in the kit, wait an minute, if it's really stubborn, just a quick brush again and then power wash, the brake dust just fell off the wheels!

That's one shiny car! I know we can get all 4 seasons in one day in scotland but your neighbours bush seems to have went from autumn to summer while you've cleaned your car! or it took about 9 months to clean

Well the difference looks amazing. I have a black one too and mine is caked in mud right now as the weather is terrible with rain and snow all the time there isn't really any point in washing it. Seeing your reminds me of what my car can look like

Yours, however, look great - well done

Very Nice!

I actually thought it was a Type-S on first glance, the lower trim looked more grey

Deifnitely looking like a Type-R in all it's glory now!

Nice looking CTR. I have to clean my car tomorrow as it is an emergency. Some idiot builders outside my work filled my car with concrete droplets and I have to deal with them carefully. Any Ideas? Propably it will be a huge day because im planning to deal with good detailing. 1st wash with armorall shampoo. Then propably clay with mequires quick clay. Then Mequires 1st stem and after that i will apply the 2nd step to give a deeper look. Then 1 or maybe more coats of collinite. Autoglym fast glass for all the windows lights perspex and my last aquired product, autoglym's pumper care which I found good. If I have enough time left till the afternoon I will deal with the rims also woth poorboy's wheel selant. I will start early in the morning and I hope that a day would be enough for all of that.
