Civic Type S GT 2.2

Wednesday just gone I picked up my Type S
Unfortunately it was covered in swirl marks so I went on Google and found a detailing shop locally and decided to spoil myself (must add juicydetailing is a great shop online and offline and the owners are really friendly too. I also got a free pot of wax with my order)

After a good 4 hours she came out looking amazing although the swirl marks are definitely still there she looks way better than before

After a few hours of no aux port or Bluetooth streaming (which I had in my previous car) I purchased a fm transmitter but it didn't exactly wow me with the sound quality I snapped and ordered a tech2 double din surround and a Pioneer x87000bt, I also gave her a name as 'the civic' wasn't cutting it anymore. . These should be arriving Tuesday which is great timing as I finish work on Tuesday. Also got some 2 Mitchellin Cross Climate Tyres fitted but Costco put them on the rear axel rather than the front then said they can't put them on the front due to company policy.

Next on the agenda is a full machine Polish, sort the windows out (as they're covered in scratches) and a interior bulb LED conversion.

Apart from the interior LED's and possible future audio upgrades (depending on how it sounds with the new radio) I'm out of ideas.

Also saw someone had wrapped there interior and it looked awesome, forgot to add that a previous owner had fitted a mugen gear knob that's a nightmare to change gear with so I'm swapping it for a type R style one

Also if anyone is in the northeast and is after a mugen gear knob give me a shout and you can have it once it's replaced

Your cleaning efforts really paid off as the car looks great

The lack of USB is a shame but easily rectified.

PS, if you have any items For Sale then post an ad in the relevant section

Tidy looking motor. I've just fitted a pioneer to mine too. Works well with android and iPhone so you can run satnav through it.

Looks great! Interior lights is something I also did, despite being the easiest thing to change, I spent way too long trying to push the LED into the map lights, they are fiddly and the good LED's I had didnt fit, so I had to buy some different ones that weren't particularly good.

Suggestions:
Boot light
Footwell lights
EGR clean (mileage dependant)
LED's all round
Gear knob gaiter

Already has a gaiter on, I'll upload a pic when I leave work. As for the LED'S I think that's what my next plan of attack is.

Really lifts the car and improves practicality having LED's, also makes it look much better compared to stock Civic's you see out and about on the road. Really cheap to do as well, ebay is your best bet for some good sidelight/number plate lights. I also got my headlights at a decent price from there.
I would probably tint my foglights too, if I had any!

I believe my dipped beam lights have been changed to a "whiter" style light bulb.
I am gonna invest in some white style side lights.

Woke up this morning to a very damp and miserable day. The plus side is that I got to see some beading from Saturdays detail

So my fascia kit came today as well as my new gear nob.
It's not sitting right and I didn't get a chance to route the cables correctly (the sun was going down and I didn't feel like doing it via torch light) so tomorrow I'll be taking it apart tomorrow and getting it to sit right.

Looking good, well done.

Short days suck at this time of year, you'll have it sorted in a jiffy next time you get to it.

Payday came around so I decided to head back to my new favorite shop and get some new products
The American Apple Pie stuff smells awesome, also picked up a new bucket with grit Guard so I'll be giving it a full detail.

Was driving around some of the local country roads and found the standard main beam bulbs to be a bit rubbish so thought it was a good time to order a set of Philips Xtreme Vision PLUS 130%. Cost me 16 so not too bad all in all. Before anyone says it I don't want to upgrade my dipped beam bulbs as they seem to do the job fine.
