Talking My itch finally scratched!

After the longest 5 weeks of my life I finally have taken delivery of my new Alabaster Silver 2.2 cdti, Leather, Pentas, Interior self blue lighting, Connects2 mp3 connector, hard wired sat nav, Parking sensors and removeable towbar. This site is a credit to all who contribute. With printouts of the various threads the dealer was able to do the mp3 and sat nav with no problems. I have considered the ECU remap, the turbo must come in with a BANG, because at the minute I'm more than happy with the diesel performance. Early days though! Anyway thanks to all again, here's a few photos. Colour as always is a personal choice, but trust me, I'm convinced silver suits the ES better than any model due to the contrast with the Glass roof.
I also believe this is the first Silver ES in the gallery with Pentas.
If anyone is wanting clearer pictures of the interior, let me know and I'll take some clearer ones, no patience this evening!.

Veeerrrry nice!! But then you do have the BEST colour!!!

Those pentas, they look brill with the silver.

Also like they way your mp3 is wired in - I've yet to pluck up the courage to get mine done.

Thanks Lippy, dealer got one of his mechanics to fit it, whilst there's the dash to come apart, the connects2 plugs straight in, no messing about. Dealer did it, dealer stands over any problems. No unwanted rattles from the connects box in the dash so all seems well. My mp3 has a built in equaliser which helps to overcome some of the sound systems' shortcomings. I'd thoroughly recommend it.

Very nice - you must be well chuffed!!

I still need to get some pics up of mine - had it 2 weeks now and still haven't done the obligatory photo-shoot!

I will try hard this weekend, assuming it is not raining and it's not freezing like it is today round here...

So jealous ... are the pentas as dark as the storms? I really love the shape of them plus so much easier to keep clean!

Looks like he's done the 'blue interior light' mod. I like it.

Yes I've done the blue interior light mod, asked the dealer to fit the bulbs when I was pickeing up the car, mechanics looked at me as if I was some sort of ****! Who's laughing now, looks brilliant, easy cool mod for everyone. Alloys upgraded from 16 to 17 retails at 650. Not sure if they are as dark as storms, I think they might be darker. And finally for nikosfly2high, a few more pictures of the leather interior. Its a great option, 800 well spent, specially for a nice warm bum!

Yep, the Nuvi ticked all the boxes, Its the basic 300, got it off Amazon for 168.00, one of the best deals around. It works well too, which helps!

I have driven approx 500 miles from collecting the car on Friday and have been watching for all the known 'glitches' with our cars. All going well until this morning, I noticed what sounded like a small bird chirping in the dash when I went over sharp bumps. Was intermittent throughout the day. Have to return to dealers tomorrow to have Parking sensors and removeable towbar fitted. He said he'd have a look. Didn't sound surprised either! He said he wouldn't charge for the budgie, I told him I wanted a packet of Trill to keep it quiet! Heres hoping!

The Pentas look great. I prefer them to a lot of the aftermarket wheels that are currently doing the rounds.

The whole package looks excellent madasadad - and the leather looks far better than I expected. I too went for the silver 2.2 ES with leather although having the leather meant no other options due to budget, its due on Monday so I'll post some pics or your twin (albeit without the posh wheels)

As I'm sure you've guessed, I'm well chuffed, so here's another photo, at least the cars clean in this one!

Nice, lovely weather today! Penta's look great, if I could work out where that picture was taken I might 'borrow' them.

And Finally

Just to complete the photo shoot! I've included below a photo of the removeable towabar and non OEM reversing sensors. By the way, when I left the car in for the fitting of the above I mentioned about the filler cap not opening, although it wasn't an issue i'd thought i'd mention it anyway . He said he had a fix for it and fitted the spring as mentioned in other threads. Opens now with a reasurring BOING.
