My New Toy With DVD Screens!

Civic 1.jpg

Civic 2.jpg

Civic 3.jpg

This is the 2nd hand 1.8 EX Civic I picked up on Friday.

It has the upgraded Altimo alloys, along with the rear camera, and an In Car Entertainment System with 2 screens in the headrests. A Slimline PS2 is also installed!

It does have the odd scratch here and there, but I really don't mind. It is the best car I have ever had and probably ever will!

Hope you like the pictures!

Great pictures, Liam. Could have done with that ICE 25 years ago on long trips down to Cornwall (yawn).

Since my PS2 is pretty much useless after my PS3 arrived, fitting screens and hooking up the ps2 is a nice project.
Then again, I'm always driving myself with nobody in the back.

So, has the installer "dug" in to the headrests to get the screens in? Looks very neat... Where is the DVD player?

Talking

Yeah the screens are dug into the headrests, I am impressed at how neat the screens are.

The DVD player is basically the Slimline PS2 which is located under the nearside passenger seat and is clipped in there. You can either leave it there all the time or only put it in when needed!

I was unsure of the alloys at first as was told they would be Storms, but almost immediately I fell in love with the Altimo's as think they make the car much sportier.

I am still to properly sit down and have a full play with the DVD screens and the rest of the gizmo's!

What I love most about the car, is despite all the great things inside the Civic, it is when you step out of the car and see a very sexy looking car. The outside is what makes this car so special, and it can't make you do anything but

Hi, your car looks great with those dvd screens. I have just bought a ready made up headrest with built in screen, the wires are threaded through the metal poles that go into your seat. My question is how then do you get the wires through the seat so they are hidden allowing you to plug it into you power socket, do you have to take the seat apart?
Hope you can help.
Thanks.

From what I can tell, all the wiring runs under the carpet with the leads leading to under the nearside passenger seat where the wires reappear there.

I have not fully looked at it to be honest and as it was the previous owner who had it done I am not clued up on it either! I will try and have a good look at how they have wired it up and let you know!
