My New Rages

Well, i've always loved the look of rages and since they wasn't an option when ordering my car and never got them. Now thanks to Alanok i have them!

Here's a few pictures of before and after, now i haven't really noticed much difference in comfort, just that they are a little noisier. I am getting the car lowered as soon as i get my eibach pro kit springs (out of stock everywhere for 2.2 diesel)

I'm very pleased on how they look on my car.

Car looking good, keep up the good work. I did consider buying those but they were just out of my price range I went for ctr wheels instead.

Was I bit worried you hadn't got them since I hadn't heard from you since last Friday but looks like you got them in one piece.

Look fantastic mate, hope you are really happy with them. Can't tell which are the refurbished and which are not when they are on the car, was I right or was I right Get used to parking a foot from the kerb!

Not sure i told you but I put a coat of Poorboys wheel sealant on the four wheels (front and back) and the two opened centre caps. I would recommend putting a coat on the new centre caps (they do have a habit of corroding from the back) and maybe another coat on all the wheels. And any kind of chip on the lacquer get some clear varnish, lacquer on them pronto.

What varnish etc do you recommend? I have a few chips in the coating on mine from stones etc, keep thinking about putting something on them...

Any model kit lacquer paint, nail varnish lacquer will do. They sell it Halfords to but it's more expensive. Recommend filling any chips before the winter salt starts, the machined surface does not tolerate any kind of exposure, especially around the the centre cap wheel nut area. Better still, take them off in the winter months.

I think because of the coat of poorboys the balancing weights diddnt stick onto the alloy properly, 3 of the 4 are now missing the weights, my fault since I should have told the people fitting them to remove a small bit when sticking them on
Will be popping back in tomorrow and get it sorted

I think it'll be ok since type r's have mud flaps and rages and don't have a problem. I'll just have to creep over speed bumps lol.

Looking sweet my friend!

I thought about going either rages or lightenings before but I was too chicken to do so, so I went for 18s instead lol
