Nice looking car!
We also only get the 4 door as hybrid.
I wonder why?

Thanks. Oh, they say Ireland likes saloons over hatchbacks. America and Japan have it too, some other European countries as well as far as I know.

I can understand that different markets require different models.
I did not know however that the 4 door is available in Europe in non-hybrid form.

How does it compare in price to the 3&5 doors?

So, the geeky question now is: which European countries is it available in?

you can see it all on honda.ie
its funnily enough cheaper that the 5 door hatchback in 1.8.
the 1.4 is 3400 Euro cheaper.

but the saloon is top spec, only one spec availavble for it in ireland. 6 cd changer, sunrooof, full size steel spare wheel and body coloured door protectors and bumpers, etc.as extras over the hatchback ES, I think.

Dont know what european countries have it, I think you have to go east of Germany.

yep, but the r is in hatchback only.
there is no diesel option either like the 2.2L unless someone was to buy in northern ireland.

In America, there is i think a 2 door coupe version of the R type coming out soon from Mugen!oohh

Nice car, but why have they not put the same lights and grill on as the hatchback? Otherwise nice.

It doesnt share a single body panel with the hatchback. Its built in Japan and the dash is different too. See in my pic of it, it doesnt have the ultra shiny scratch prone parts. Real different car, the hatchback is popular over here, but my saloon is rare! Very hard to get, mine was the only one in dublin for months with only 4 in the whole countrys honda dealerships. Most only have the hatchbacks and the hybrid???? why?
dont honda want to sell this car?
wierd sale strategy from them, suppose its a small market..
Ive only seen 4 others of my car on the road...

Everywhere I go, Im the only one on the road.People look at it wondering what it is!!
Should keep its value a bit better.

I do like the 4 door, but the style, is a little "Old Man" for me. The 3 and 5 door is a lot more sporty in appearance. If the 4 door had the funky front lighting and grill and Lexus Style or Mugen LED rear lighting, that would be a different matter. I do agree however that the dash on the 3/5 door is far too easy to damage.

Hi!

You can get that one in Finland too.

By the way, it looks like baby accord but it has 2cm longer wheelbase than accord!

hi panze, post some pics of yours in the gallery, wont you?

hmm really, longer wheelbase, yes its smaller and the petrol accord is 2.0L and still only 140BHP isnt it? probably a heavier car too
so my civic kicks its ass.

I wonder what the next model accord will look like on the interior, something like the civic maybe or new again...?
myabe something to trade up to in a few years time...............?

Ohhhhh only looking at this now, you got neutron blue :P I wanted that!
As for the only a few in dublin I was the 6th that I know of to have it (the other 5 work with me). I think mine is about 1 year older than yours if you go by reg number

Unfortunately there are more and more on the roads these days, I see at least 1 or 2 a week

How do you find it as a car anyway?
We should get a saloon only part of the site set up for us Paddy's and Finlanders
We could call it Class-aloon

Thats what im planning. I will be trading the civic in for the next gen Accord in a few years time. Depending on course of what they actually do the Accord. I used to have an Accord. Fantastic car. As much as i love the civic the build quality on the accord was far superior.
