Although my favorite Type R color is NHB, silver is also stunning and looks 10 times better then on Type S or 5 doors Civic.

The Mini next door looks a "Bit Ordinary", compared to the spaceship doesn't it.

Everytime I see these silver Type R's, I get more and more jealous. I love my Type S to bits, but the R in silver is just lovely.

awesome mate! the best colour in my opinion!! the silver just seams to show off all the angles of the car more than any other colour

Gorgeous, although a little more understated in silver compared to the other colours (IMO!)

Thanks guys! I only picked it up this weekend and I still cant believe its mine! At the showroom people were also commenting on how good it looks in silver. Thanks.

I'm now running it in and its so difficult trying to drive it below 4,000 rpm, you just want to floor it! I hit the Vtec 3 times already but only for a few seconds. I could nt believe that you have to enable the VTEC light on the dash yourself as the default setting is off. The dealer did this for me, but to be honest its in the manual and pretty easy to setup.

Your Car looks great !

I SUGGEST YOU LOOK AT THE RUNNING IN SECTION IN THE WIKI - Link Below
http://www.civinfo.com/wiki/index.php/Running_in
I kept mine below 6000 rpm for the first 600 miles. I generally followed the guide in the wiki.

I preferred to leave the VTEC light off, its the Rev lights you need.

The only problem I am having with mine is its too much fun to drive (1000 miles in just over a week). Its not often that I am keen to do the 450 mile round trip to visit the inlaws !!

You lucky so and so, that looks fantastic. I think the silver on the 5 door looks a bit naff to be honest, but on the R-Type it is awesome, it just seems to suit the car so well. Enjoy

Charlie.(CNICOLINI).
Am too ashamed to put a picture of mine on here.............It's filthy.

Silver, sadly does not do it for me. Looks so much better in pictures than it does in the flesh, IMO of course !

However, totally agree with your comments. Collected mine last Thursday. Not sure about enabling the v tec light so mine is still off. Have not seen the rev lights on mine yet........TRYING to be careful, but heh, what a fantastic car!
