Unhappy Clutch pedal creaking - New master cylinder help!

Hello,

I've recently picked up a Civic SE, when I test drove the car the clutch would creak whenever I used it.
I bought the car with them replacing the master cylinder to fix the issue.
This worked perfectly, until I tried parking it at home. When I use the clutch for normal driving it's silent, but whenever I slowly lift it up for parking etc it still makes the same noise... Any suggestions?

Thanks

Try applying some lube to the clutch pedal pivots.

No, try a silicone based lube as that will penetrate the porous plastic bushes better.

Unfortunately this annoying issue is pretty common.

Welcome to one of the enduring foibles of owning a Honda civic which we all grow to love (and hate )

Are you sure they replaced the part?
Did they just grease up the old master cylinder and showed you on your merry way.

Cant see no grease. It might have been the slave cylinder, I'm not 100%.

I'd be very surprised if they changed anything just because the pedal was creaking, we are talking about a car dealer here
