There are plenty of 'opinions' of what servicing entails and when it should be done. The recommended service intervals for Hondas are 12 months /12,500 miles yet when you look at the HONDA definition of 'extreme driving' it is recommended that the oil is changed every 6 months. (see your vehicle handbook)
Extreme driving isnt doing the Paris Dakar but short journeys of limited time and distance , regularly. It doesnt have to be 140 mph around Brands Hatch daily. The car doesnt warm up, neither does the oil, then you pull up and stop, do this repeatedly and you should be able to see the potential issue.
The SVRS system is designed to pick up signals from the car to illustrate this, hence some people getting A or B warnings flashing up frequently. Its certainly not perfect, far from it and imho it is far too sensitive a system, hence most of them being switched off.
