45 silicone wipers.

Decided to treat myself to some silicone wipers after watching Scotty Kilmer saying his are still good after 6 years.
PIAA seems to be the only manufacturer I could find, they don't sell from their own website but instead have several links to firms that sell their products. I found one doing a Black Friday 25% off so got some. Sizes needed are 97065(26) and 97045(18) for the front pair but you can buy them as singles. Clean windscreen, wipe with silicone cleaner cloth(supplied) and leave ten minutes before wiping again with dry or damp cloth. Wiper connector is the one already fitted so just off with old and on with new. Because silicone they put down a coating that makes rain run off when driving.
Not as pretty as Honda wipers but after a squirt and a wipe all good. Time will tell when I'm next in a downpour and only time will reveal longevity of them.

interesting to see how they are in the cold
if they are softer than the ones we get now might splash out on a set when I get my new car

You still have to maintain and keep them clean. But I'm hoping in the long run 45 every ? Years vice 25 Honda price each year will obviously see my running costs drop. They guarantee them for 2 years but if you watch the video on YouTube when he asks his local dealer why they don't stock them.... because we sell thousands of normal rubber ones every year and with a shorter life span! I could try and make rubber ones last longer but they usually start to drop off after 12 months. So it's a bit of a experiment. I've tried Bosch and went back to Honda.
