how to tint the lower part of the back window?

Hi all

Had my windows on the fn2 tinted today, I asked how the bottom part of the tailgate could be tinted and he suggested the spray that some people use to tint their lights, my question is has anyone else tried this and what was the result or has anybody else used anything else to tint it????
Thanks

dont use the spray mate ! you wont get proper even coverage and when the sun hits it , it will look horrendous

solarplexus or spi-vision is the way to go

nah , i was speaking to the guy who tinted mine and he strongly advised against the spray from his experience !

the spray is ok on lights as the light only passes through it from one side and you cant see any imperfections

Spray tint looks awful. I have seen cars where the tail lights have been over spray tinted and you can hardly see the lights when they are lit up.

I had a fine mesh type film applied to the rear section of mine - looks ok from a distance but up close u can see through it and it annoyed me. After seeing the solaxplexius kit on another forum i have placed an order for the lower rear window section - 50 euros. Should have it at some point this week hopefully, so will fire some pics up .

Got it fitted tonight, bit of a pain in the arse.

Word of warning, the plexi is very sensitive to scratches in the same way as the rev counter display in the civic, so be very gentle with it.

WIll take pics tomorrow in the light. Looks pretty good though!
