Latest from the Guardian

Car review: Honda Civic | Technology | The Observer

Quote:
You can now see out the back, and they've even thrown in a window wiper, though nobody had complained about that. The new suspension means it feels supple without any loss of that racy road feel. The softer ride comes from fluid-filled compliance bushings. You know they are fluid-filled, as you hear the liquid sloshing about as if you are in an idling speed boat or have drunk too much tea.
Nobody complained about no rear wiper !!!

The sloshing sound is now the fluid suspension and not the underfloor fuel tank !!!

Some of it appears to have been lifted straight from the Honest John review.

I had to chuckle whilst reading... fluid filled suspension sloshing about?!

Although I personally don't miss the rear wiper at all on the 8G.

Ditto. There's not much point having them tbh.

Not sure. I think the Guardian front page could do with brightening up but I wouldn't call it minging (whatever that means)

Ive had my FN2 for 5 years and i still dont feel the need for a rear wiper.

I think a lot of motoring journalists who got to drive the car for a few hours would always note the absence of a wiper, but in reality they dont own the car long enough to realise you dont need one.
