I bet some enterprising individual can work out where that photo was taken, and then find some CCTV footage from the area that will catch the vehicle in full. If that is a full model in a car park then I'm questioning why it hasn't been seen elsewhere and leaked.

If the current reception of the normal 9th gen civics carries on as is, the new type R will be met with as much animosity as the 8th Gen R was by the EP3 owners.....

Saying that, I saw my first white 9th gen today and I must say, it's growing on me.

It looks like a "new car lot" rather than a car park, look at all the new same model cars in the background - Toyotas or Subarus? Don't look like Accords to me at least.

Also, the gantry crane, probably for container lifting, in the background is a clue.

The building looks UK to me.

Could be the 'Mugen Competition Prize' version on it's way to an official photo shoot... I don't think the silver one on the Competition page is the only one and my guess there will be an 'announcement' soon

.... but looking at it, it's prob just a 1.8 tarted up by the owner....

From the pics on hondas site the mugen one has a similar front splitter to the M200/M20 and the arches are not coded so I'm guessing its not the mugen

I could be wrong

That pic looks like it was taken at portbury docks near Bristol in the export center so that car is going overseas. I used to work there a few years back.

If you look at Ow.ly - image uploaded by @Honda_UK (Honda (UK)) it's posted by Honda_UK... OK that could be a bogus user name, but if you look at the other photo's posted... Is genuinely Honda (well the team that updates there FB page)

As the famous He-Man quote says "I have the Power" . . . and now you do!

We know we don't have our beloved Type R in production at the moment, so in the meantime we wanted to make something to satisfy your racier needs.

Celebrating more than 5 years of success in the British Touring Car Championship, Team Dynamics - BTCC has developed a special edition Civic with a number of sporty upgrades – a carbon lip front spoiler, rear diffuser and a rear centre exit exhaust to name just a few.

But we need your help! We'd like to build a version that's a little more personal to the people that love Honda, so tell us what features you want to see in the Civic and we'll do our best to build it. Do you want it red with white racing stripes, or perhaps you want it bright green with yellow polka dots?

Leave your comments and let's see if we can make magic happen.

You’ll be able to get a better view of the concept model at Goodwood Festival of Speedfrom tomorrow, but in the meantime here’s a little sneak peek.
