It is priced as such, not seen it up close but it is my colour of choice currently but not sure the pearl effect is really worth the money over a solid white!

Honda and even Ford colours are not that inspiring to me, but white is where I would be!

White orchid pearl is considered a 'pearlescent' paint. It is one of the best colours for the 9G. Just keep the car clean and avoid stone chips (they show up as black due to the undercoat colour). Keep some touch up paint handy.

The pearl effect is hardly unnoticeable unless in bright or direct sunlight.

So are we saying the paint on the 9th gen is no better than the paint on 8th gen?
Mine is chipped and scratched to death like everyone elses.

Actually, it's been quite good. After 8 months, only 2 chips. One on lower front bumper and the other. a pinpoint "chip" on rear door.

I have a 9th gen in white as well but I am not happy with the chipping. After 6000 km I have five or six stone chips on the hood. My alabaster Insight had one after 70000 km..

Alabaster Silver is the best colour for stone chips (as the undercoat colour sort of blends in) and tends hide road dirt and grime so you don't have to wash your car as often.

The white suits the 9th gen best I haven't really been able to give it a proper clean but once the sun does hit it the paint looks awesome
