So much speculation in the press, some magazines are suggesting anything from a 1.6 to a 2.0 litre turbo, wait for facts rather than jump on something seems best, plus hope Honda make it a winner!

I hope they do!

However, the previous generation Type R was a complete thumble, so much so that some European buyers imported Japanese-spec cars rather than buy the British built hatch.
There are more Japanese import 2001-2005 (EP3) Civic Type Rs and imported 2001-2005 Integra (DC5) Type Rs in the UK than there are imported 2007-2010 (FD2) Civic Type Rs. What does that mean then?!

Recycled story from the Auto Express one the other day. http://www.civinfo.com/forum/honda-n...ic-type-r.html

Trouble is, as others have pointed out, that 2015 is over 2 years away and in that time Renault or anyone else for that matter, could easily come up with something to trump the Civic before its even been released.

Its a pity this project is so delayed compared to the general 9 gen release.
