Thinking of buying a used Accord

Hi everyone.

I am a newbie here. Thanks for the great forum, and good to see everyone is enthusiastic.

I am currently driving a Mazda Eunos MK2 1.8 6spd. And thought of changing to Accord

Yearly mileage is 10k, Short journey to work or up to 2hrs drive each way to work once or twice a month.

Can anyone advise me what should I look out for, which year is better if necessary or anything that you can share with me with regards to getting a used Accord and living with the Accord

I am looking for a 2.0 petrol Accord

Thanks

Hi Ariel

I would look at the diesel Accords. They are fantastic to drive and really good on the fuel. Also only £125 tax instead of £215 for petrol

thanks neil.

i did email u previously, but have been delaying the decision to buy the used accord.

i know the cdti is a great engine, and great drive. i am kind of concern about the use as a short distance drive tht may affect the reliability.....

Are you looking at the new model or previous ? It's just a personal choice. I have a 57 plate 2.2 for a while which I loved. The I-Ctdi is fine for low miles as is the 2.0.

i like the torque of diesel in fact

but all these dpf failure and issues with diesel engine used for short distance drive is very off putting

used. not new.

OK, just found out Accord 2.2cdti does not have dpf. Good.

Hi Riche. Great car, eye pleaser and great spec.

I am thinking of more cost-effective model.

At that price, I would have gone for an A3, as I can get great discounts from Audi.

thanks
