+1 Many have had celtic remaps on here which have been on for several years.
They are good solid remaps and actually give you the power they quote and not a guesstimate
Theres probably only 3 companies you can put your faith in so far.

Ash, until you have had the work done how can you comment?

I do however agree, from what I've read about Celtic they seem to be knowledgeable about tuning the CDTI units and can further map beyond the 'off the shelf' offerings.

The Honda clutch units are terrible in dealing with the increased torque, the strength of the PP, grip of the clutch, and run out tolerances on the DMF make for expensive unproven ground expense as well.

Do you think I would just book into a tuning garage without performing countless hours of research on reviews/testimonies/quizzing and pestering the guys from Celtic?!

Well then!

A few people had a good experience, One or two also had bad experience with them.
I thought "Why not?"

All went swimmingly, until i set off with the guy in the car to find the clutch slipped like a fat kid on a slip'n'slide....

New clutch fitted, i'm dead pleased and would recommend Celtics mapping!

I'm not sure how their generic maps are, as i've not experienced them (map-only, no tweaking or installing).
- I would assume they're just maps they have given customers so most likely exactly the same tbh!

No smoke at all mate, it shouldn't smoke any more than before a map is applied, tuning boxes often cause lots of smoke. Because their crap. IMO

My civs from 2006 also, covered about 40k miles.
The Civic clutch is very 'hit and miss', some slip alot & some are fine.
No real idea on the Accord, i assume it uses the same clutch if its using the same engine? Its that respect its a possibility it will need replacing.
I could be wrong though, - RELIC? anyidea?

Hope it helps!

Oooo, ps relic, Tdi dyno today, ill get back to you later!
Unless its a bad figure, then i might never come back

Evidently the accord and frv have n22a1 engines
The civic and CRV have the n22a2 which supposedly uses a different inlet/exhaust arrangement.

So no the accord cdti is a little different.

The CRV clutch and flywheel look the same but everything else thats bolted to the CRV is different to the civic.
I wouldnt like to hazard a guess on if the cams and turbo are different but the map certainly will be.

Oohh! dyno reading..... yes please
