Question 2nd Service 2.2 IDTEC Auto

Hi,

Does anyone know whats due on a 2nd service for the IDTEC engine with an Auto box?

There is no way I want to part with 332.00 to Brindly Honda!! Im looking to take it else where but want to ensure all the stuff gets done...... typical Honda dont print this info in the service book! Arrrgg.

It depends on what the service code is as they are variable servicing:

"A" indicates the need for an oil and filter change only
"B" indicates the oil and filter and the periodic safety, mechanical and emissions systems inspections.


The number that follows either letter indicate the need for additional maintenance services:



1 = tire rotation
2= air filter replacement
3= transmission oil replacment
4= spark plug replacement, valve adjustment and timing belt replacement
5= coolant replacement
6= VTM (4wd) differential fluid replacement

Hmmm, the bad thing for me is my Honda Dealer de-activated this function due to it being un-reliable? So now its on 12,500 or 12 months.

What it the usual at 2 years or 20,000 miles?

I found out what is required on a 2 yr service from my Honda dealer.

Air filter
Oil filter
Fuel filter
Pollen filter
Oil
lights an level checks
General checks, brake wear etc etc

And software updates...... wont be going here as I dont want my Celtic map being over written.
