55 Plate front bumper cost

Hi,

Mate of mine has a 55 plate I-CDTI and his front bumper has paint damage. Often the cost of paint repair on this part is more than the part pre-painted from Honda direct.

Does anyone know how much the bumper costs from new, ready painted.

And is it as easy to fit and remove as on the Civic?

Thanks in advance.

is it this bit:

2005 HONDA ACCORD 2.2 EXECUTIVE BUMPERS (-'05) - Honda Original Parts from Lings Honda v1.01

And number 4?

If so 356 is quite a bit more than I thought it would be, the Civic bumper is only 130!

IIRC I paid around £260 for mine but that was with a discount, removal is very easy.

BTW Lings are always way overpriced from what other dealers will do so worth building up a relationship with your local dealer.

Can I ask how you got discount? Are you a member of a particular forum? Good to know removal is easy, can you link to a detailed thread? Based on that initial estimate I'm recommending he goes for a re-spray of the bumper, as long as the clips aren't busted.

Its a TSX but its all the same

I obtained the discount as I co run another forum, but finds most dealers will talk turkey if it means a sale.

I needed my accord front bumper repainting, I was quoted £280 for a new one, but got the respray done for £80 at a local bodyshop. Shop around, usually won't pay more than £100 a bumper for a respray if it's just paint damage.

Good news, I expect he will go for the respray.
