What's the part nuber of my sat nav?

Hi,

I've got a 2005 Honda Accord CTDi Executive with the factory fitted sat nav. The unit has stopped working, and I've been told that the laser has burned out. I've contacted Alpine and they need the part number on my sat nav before they'll quote me.

To save me removng the unit from the dash, does anyone know the correct part number for the dvd drive or laser?

Thanks for your help.

Thanks a lot.

4,829.48 for the DVD unit??

I've been quoted 140 from a local car audio specialist, so we'll see if Alpine are any cheaper. I believe that an option is to send the unit to them for repair.

Ignore the price, Lings is extortionate lol.

Is that 140 for a new unit or do get yours repaired?

It's just for the laser.

Hopefully Alpine can supply the laser on it's own.

Thanks for your help.

Ouch. Might be worth popping down to a breakers yard, see if they can do you the unit for cheap.

Bit of a long shot though.

Looking to sell the car, and having the sat nav in working order is a must.

Got through to Alpine spare parts today, and they're almost sure it's the following item:

88T55031Y03

The price is 30.22 + VAT.

Does anyone know if this is the right item?

Would fitting be straightforward? Would it be a case of screwing out the old one, and screwing in the new one, or is there soldering or alignment needed?

Thanks.
