2002 jazz charging problems

Good morning all,

My partners jazz is starting to become abit of a problem with charging the battery. I have had the alternator off and got it checked all ok, fitted a new battery and all was good for a few months and reading 14volts on the multimeter. Yesterday she went for a drive and every time she wasn't accelerating the battery light would come on then go off again when she pushed the peddle again. Does anyone no a good place to start and check as I would like to get to the bottom of it.

Is the AUX belt tight enough or slipping?

Maybe time to replace it?

That's a fair point I wasn't sure how tight to do it so I marked it up on the adjustment and put it back to where it was when I took the alternator off.

All sorted now I tensioned the belt which worked for a few days then the alternator packed up all together. So fitted new alternator, belt and top pully and charging fine
