Honda Insurance

Has anybody got any experience with Honda Insurance? When I recently got my 2013 EX I took the 7 day Honda Insurance. This was followed by an annual quote which, on the surface of it looks quite good. I would like to know if anyone has any experience of the insurance or offer any tips

Best bet would be to shop around, confused.com and moneysupermarket are a couple of sites you could search on.

Thanks. I do that as a matter of course. Currently with Direct Line. They usually send renewals 2 weeks before they are due. Last year they increased my premium by 35. I wasn't happy so did a completely new Direct Line quote "on line" Price decreased by 89 compared with the renewal quote. But going back to the original point, I wasn't aware that Honda did their own insurance and just wondered if anybody found any further benefits.

It may be Honda titled but it will be by another company under the surface, have a look at who actually provides it for them, then perhaps more will be clear.

I have no experience with Honda insurance bar I like the drive away policy cover that means getting a new car does not mean you have to time the collection to the minute to make sure you are actually insured!

Im with Honda Happiness Insurance, its actually underwritten by Equity Red Star, I had an old lady bump into me at the weekend, she admitted liability, only needed a new rear bumper, car is in a Honda approved body shop as we speak. You can only judge an insurance company and how good they are when you make a claim. Although i am not claiming on my own insurance, Honda have been superb and faultless. My car was picked up to be repaired and my courtesy car (Nice 60 plate Silver Type R GT was delivered to my home address. Honda weren't the cheapest insurance but i will certainly be renewing my insurance with them next year. Hope this helps you.

When my last renewal was due I got a quote from Honda Happiness. It was quite a bit more than DL so I passed.

Even though I included my renewal date on the enquiry I still got reminders well after that date from them with reduced quotes and the usual blurb about 'we'll beat your current quote'.

Surely they must realise that once my initial renewal date has passed I don't need their services till next Year ?

I would have preferred Honda Happiness as you must be guaranteed a proper Honda bodyshop instead of a DL cheapo ?
