Have you tried the comparison sites, at least you will be able to see how close the one you have is, there are also some site sponsors on here who do insurance although some are for modified cars only, take a look at that section. Clearly insurance varies from person to person and what is good for one won't be the same for someone else as it all depends on so many variables.

Would suggest that's what you are going to be paying, as I said try some of the site sponsors

Hi,
Please feel free to give us a try for insurance if you like. If you wanted to PM me some contact details I'd be happy to arrange for one of my quotes team to give you a call back.
Regards,
Dan.

'compare the market' consistently give cheaper quotes than 'confused.com' and moneysupermarket

'Octagon' was quite cheap last time I checked

I'm in pretty much the same situation. But I'm 23yrs old and with 3ncb.

I asked my current insurancer how much it would cost my premium if I got a remap. They simply refused to insure me if I did get a remap.

It's up for renew on the 14th of October so I'm going to be giving the groups in here a call and see what they can do.

Dont want too be the bearer of good news, but i have 13 years ncd. And my insurance after coming from a 1.4 Audi A2 TDI went from £320 to £540, and i,m 45 years young. But i do have BD ( Bradford west yorkshire ) postcode.
So my advice get old, it,s the way to beat insurance companys.

Do you have to inform insurance company if your car has had the sports grill fitted?

Eco display
I'm £235 for mine fully comp with the Mrs as a named driver... I'm a baw hair off 44 though with full NCD and live in the KA12 post code...

Oh! I always try Tesco and Direct Line on their own web sites... I always find comparison sites too expensive.... Plus comparison sites show up on your credit file as searches...

Forgot to mention, I'm currently with Tesco and that is with me having an estimated annual mileage of 20k+

I think I should wear a wrinkle mask around. Paying about 500 insurance (21 with 2 years NCD and 3 years experience) on my 1.8, but for a type R with any mods it like 1000!

Insurance sucks.
