Do insurance companies pay out for flood damage

i got caught in the rain last night and a man hole pushed up underneath my car, im not to sure if there is much damage but my clutch does feel a bit funny?

Don't see why not - as long as you are covered by a Fully Comprehensive policy. It would be deemed as a fault claim as there is no 3rd party for them to recover the costs from.

Did you take photos of the item that hit you or any witnesses if not it will be hard for your insurance to claim off the third party's insurance. However I've you do then the government had set aside some 70mill for these incidents as no one ever seems to claim or be able to show there at fault. Good luck mate hope get sorted
