Soon to be owner in Aberdeen

Evening all!

Picking up my first Civic on Saturday, gone for a 56 1.8 TypeS GT and found (what seems to be) a little cracker with about 40k on the clock.

I've had a good read of the forum over the last few weeks, so thanks already! Got a feeling it's going to be great to have a place like this to ask questions and find out about little bits and pieces that I didn't already know.

Had a quick test run last week, but am looking forward to the weekend so that I can properly get my hands on it!

Good stuff mate, welcome to the forum! Theres a handful of us up this way, got a meet done earlier in the year up a very rainy Cairn O' Mount pass, so hopefully more of the same next year again.

Im going to be petrified of every new thread from an Aberdonian for the next couple of months after trading in my Civic with its slipping clutch last week!

Hopefully its going to an auction house far far away in Glasgowshire to be sold as seen. Even so, could be a problem as i couldnt remove the civinfo sticker without making a big mess so i had to leave it on !!!

Thanks again for the welcomes , friendly lot here, eh?! Picked up the car on Saturday and have had a couple of days to play about with it now, overall very happy!

One or two little tweaks on the cards to start with I think...nothing major just now though as Christmas will swallow most of my cash over the next few weeks. The original gear knob is still on, and is really the only part of the interior that's got a bit of visible wear on it (which is pretty good going considering the car's 6 years old!), so I'll get that replaced PDQ. Also the driver side sun visor doesn't snap back into place properly, instead it just kind of sits down about an inch from where it should, but I can't see this being too difficult to sort out...hopefully.

Not sure whether or not I should dive straight in and try fitting a sports grille, or whether I should hold off a little while. They do look good...

Also not having Bluetooth or an aux in is going to become a bit of a pain in the arse, so I need to work out whether to try one of the quick fixes listed here on the Wiki, or just to bite the bullet and go for an AppRadio.

Decisions!

Seems to do everything that I'd need at the moment anyway...line in, usb, and I went for the Bluetooth add-on too so that I can stream to it wirelessly.

There's a pretty detailed install guide here that I found during a wee forum search: http://www.civinfo.com/forum/attachm...ic-install.pdf. Going to give this a bash on Thursday I think.
