New user!... and a problem :(

Hey all, been on here for a little while but thought I would finally post, now that I have a problem!

Met a bus on a corner this morning, and had no choice but to dive into someones drive and hit their lovely rock formation with my car. Absolutely fuming with myself, annoyed with the bus driver but he did not stop of course. I know the company so might be getting in touch.

Anyway I have uploaded a pic of the damage.

What parts will I need from Honda, and any idea on cost? The plastic trim around the arch and the lower part of the front bumper are damaged.

Is the lower part of the bumper seperate to the rest?

Where is the best place to buy them from, a Honda Dealer?

Many Thanks

You wont be too bad. Arch about 60 and splitter you'll be able to pick up second hand on here for not very much. You may be able to pick up both 2nd hand for less than 100 easy I'd say...

Edit: you're colour coded, typical! I'll have a mooch. For brand new prices scroll down the forum and post a message to Cox Honda

And yes the bottom splitter is separate, you don't need a new bumper

not nice mate,i'm guessing the clips will be broken on the wheel arch, i know the white clips are around the 1.20 each mark if the yellow clip at the bottom of the arch is broken then you may require a new wheel arch around 70 for a new one ,front splitter may also need replacing but could be repaired for around the 100 mark.

Thanks Ben, I have only had the car 3 weeks, I think some people must of thought I was going mad when I was screaming at the car!

I think I can hang on with the splitter for now, as its still in place, but will definitley need a new arch as its flapping about (clips are broke)

Will post in Cox like you said.

Yeh clips are broken it was flapping off everywhere hence the tape lol. When you say the splitter repaired, will that be cheaper than a new one?

If your clips are broken but you don't want to fork out for a new arch you can just use some blobs of adhesive to keep it fixed, and as long as you don't go overboard you can break the adhesive if you need to remove it later.

This might just be speculation, or one of mine might be held on with a few blobs of sikaflex...

Yes some of the clips have snapped and also the fixing under the splitter is broken/come off. Im going to Honda after work to get some prices, I am hoping that I can fix the arch easily and then leave the splitter for the time being as they are expensive.

Does anyone think its possible to repair it? It is physically broken and scuffed, I think they are around 220 new

Reapir may be possible.

You'll be able to pick up a plain grey Type S one for about 25 and get it sprayed. Maybe a cheaper option? Wouldn't expect painting to be more than 75

Is that for the splitter or the arch? After a few searches it seems like the splitters are quite expensive! Arches like everyone else said around 60/70

Splitter. Arches don't tend to budge in price as they are quite a desirable piece. Splitters people can't give away at times!

Hmm, might have to keep an eye out then, Honda want 220 for a splitter, I believe the lower grill is not included but I can just use the one from mine. Just need to get a new arch with clips plus fixings for it to attach to the corner of the splitter as everything is just hanging off at the moment. Once thats on I can then search for a splitter!
