Just a quick "hey"

Just thought id say Hey and looking forward to speaking/getting help of the experienced Civic owners. I initially joined looking on how to change my rear reg. plate bulbs but found that straight away.

Quick one : I work away and only had time to spend 4 days with my civic before going away again. But apparently when it comes to installing fog lights on my 1.8 IVTEC, it's straight forward? But some forums say you have to remove the front bumper, is this true?

Cheers guys.

Hello and welcome to

Check my guides for some how-to's to follow for the lights, removing the bumper is one way but it is possible to do without removing.

Hello and welcome to mate, Like JP said on the petrol enginges its possible to install new fog bulbs without removing the bumper..

Gutted because I have the 2.2 Diesel and on one side the washer bottle is in the way and on the other side the intercooler is in the way so I would have to remove the bumper...

Let the fun begin though!

Cheers guys I'm going to have a look once I'm home, the step by steps look pretty simple - but I'm pretty hopeless haha. Cheers for the warm welcome... Much appreciated!

I haven't had anytime to play with my car and get to know the ins and outs also, I'm going to switch to xenon bulbs, but when saying this in work, the lads are saying civic lights are an absolute nightmare to change, but I couldn't believe this, I thought it would be a pretty straight forward switch... Like most cars... And I know a lot of you if not all of you will know how to change your bulbs haha.

Cheers again

Civic headlight bulbs are probably the easiest of just about any car provided you don't try and short cut the job.

ie:

Take the battery out. There's that much room you could sit in there. If you don't then you will almost certainly drop the bulb...

Then... You will be speaking a foreign language without even realising it !

How to change the headlight bulbs is actually in your drivers handbook but search here and you'll find many threads on it.

Welcome to Civinfo btw
