hi, joined to peruse and probe the CRV section, about six months ago I kind of inherited a 2006 2.2d sport with 37k miles.
Not entirely impressed with the crossover concept but it was free
And its starting to grow on me, my boy racer days are well behind me so comfort and a bit more ride height seems like a good idea.
I've done about 8k miles in it and its starting to need running repairs and maintainance.
Essentially daily use is bringing problems to the surface that probably would have shown long ago if it hadn't have spent most of its time being parked up or making fortnightly 250 mile motorway trips.
So far I have.......
fitted new discs and pads all round, discs were on the limits at 40k but OE pads were under half worn.
new brake and clutch fluid ( minor improvement but a hint of more expense)
general service, oil, filters ect
rear diff oil
new tyres (father replaced two with part worns resulting in diameter mismatch)
rear drive shaft mount
front ABS sensor ( 4WD fault)
tracking ( after 6 tracking visits it turns out the track was out 3mm and down to an identical rim with the wrong offset)
And the current issues to fix are.....
clutch..... pedal high, bite high, M/C squeaking.....one way or another £££
flat spot and rattle at 2000rpm.......EGR valve and manifold need a decoke?
rear suspension sagging ....probably have to do the front to match.
And the wish list.......
remap and EGR blank
uprated rear ARB
