New Fn2 Civic Type R owner saying hello.

Evening all,

Picked up my Civic Type R today, Alabaster silver, 58 plate, 33k, 1 owner, full history.. Nice clean car. Gave it a good clean on the inside to bring it up to my standards, fitted some LED number plate bulbs, LED sidelight bulbs and some upgrade headlight bulbs.

Tomorrow is a good wash, polish and wax, not sure on future plans, did intend to keep it standard but have a hankering for an induction kit and the GP kit, need to get an output from the stereo for connecting to my i phone.. Any ideas?

Calipers will be painted in the spring, minor stone chippage to be sorted aswell then some footwell lights.. Maybe!

Other than that it will be well kept and enjoyed.

Previous car was an E46 M3, didn't own it long but the worry of potential repair bills and the cost of the required work to make it A1 put me off. Bit of a Honda fan as I used to sell them 8 years ago, sold loads of Type R's as I loved them, driven all the Type R's, S2000 and NSX's.. Love the VTEC power delivery and reliability.

Anyway, enough rambling. I'll get some pics when she is all clean and tidy.

Mike.

Thanks dudes,

Yeah I think the GP kit shows off the lines better on the car, I wanted a Milano Red one but the silver was too nice to turn down, especially with the mileage.

Look forward to posting the pics and getting your opinions.

Mike.

Thanks Aqib, Hi Craig, I'll keep my eyes peeled for you and be sure to say hello. I'm sure I'll require your assistance at some point.. I'm too cack handed to do any proper work on the car. Bulbs and cleaning is about my limit!

Thanks for the warm welcome folks, I'll get some pics up when it's all done and up to my standards.

Thanks for the link to the Denison Robbo, spent a fortune this weekend so if u can hang off until next week I'll take it at £50 plus delivery.

Any recommendations on bulbs with a xenon type look? I have LED sidelight bulbs in and although the bulbs I fitted yesterday are better for brightness if rather have a more blue/xenon look.

You want 6k (crisp ice white) or maybe 8K (more blue) lamps. I am sure MR JP will be able to help and advice on what will be best

Was cleaning the car today and noticed the common problem of rust coming up at top of windscreen.. I assume Honda are still doing this work under the anti corrosion warranty? Nothing major as of yet but would rather nip it in the bud early!
