My first Honda (Civic)

Hi guys,

Time to introduce myself!
Registered on the forum because I bought an Honda Civic 1.8i Silverstone in Alabaster Grey!
I can pick the car up on wednesday 24 september, and has, thanks to this forum, a Type R grill, an Parrot M6100 bluetooth carkit and a dension iPod connection

The Silverstone package is a 'special' temporary model in The Netherlands, which includes the following:
- Cruise control
- rear parking sensors
- Rain/light sensors
- 17" wheels
- foglights
- portable navigation from honda
It's the Sport model, but 1000 euro's cheaper, and the following extra options: parking sensors, navigation, metallic paint.

My car (and personal history) is the following:
Got working in the IT business about 10 years ago, and had the following company owned cars:
- a Peugeot Partner
- Chrysler Voyager (van edition, no backseats)
- Seat Leon (previous model)
- Seat Altea

April this year I started my own company, and the first months (until now) I drove the Renault Twingo (01-2008 ) from my girlfriend. Very basic edition without any comport options like airconditioning and cruise control. I can't wait to drive in the Civic and give the Twingo back to my girlfriend

As you can see from my car history this is my first car of my own (and I'm 32)! Never had the urge to buy one myself, because I always got a car from my work. So this is the first car I 100% chose myself and picked the options i wanted, not my boss or something.

Also the first petrol car I'm going to drive (except for the twingo), because I allways drove diesel.

I'm gonna update this post when I have the first pictures of my silver spaceship!

Not because it's a bad car, more because it's not a car which is build for me. I'm a gadget man, and want pure horsepower. The twingo has 60 horsepower and misses al the options I got used to the past years (aircon, cruise control, bootspace). Plus it's not the right car when you're 1 meters and 95 centimeters like me.

Be Welcome,

Nice to have you here with us

The Handy Gps stuff look like my Garmin unit but with a proper mounting system.

Did you get the sound of the gps through the audio system of the civic ?

And dont forget to fill the various survey !

It is a rebranded Garmin (760T) with a Honda logo on it. The connector on the dashboard is just for powering the unit, no connection to the audio system or something...
